Traditionally, when attributing a cover, one credits the band who wrote and recorded the song, rather than another band who covered it previously. 'Bela Lugosi's Dead' was a Bauhaus song, released in '78 or '79. Nouvelle Vague became one of many bands to cover it almost 30 years later in 2006. Is there some way in which the Vernian Process version owes ancestry to the Nouvelle Vague version? If so, I'd suggest a formulation like "A remix of Bauhaus's 'Bela Lugosi's Dead,' which sampled heavily from Nouvelle Vague's cover of the song" or "A remix of the Nouvelle Vague cover of 'Bela Lugosi's Dead' (originally by Bauhaus)" 67.171.38.172 (talk) 00:36, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
- The remix in question was of a version recorded by Nouvelle Vague which was drastically different from the original. It wasn't a remix of Bauhaus, because it contained none of the elements of the original, other than the bass riff. FACT50 (talk) 01:39, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
