Turnpikes
[edit]- White River Turnpike (White River Junction/Hartford - Sharon - North Royalton) chartered 1800-11-01 and operated for 52 years. Opening of the Vermont Central Railroad line along the same path on Januar 1850 caused demise of turnpike.
- Williamstown Center Turnpike (East Brookfield - Williamstown) chartered 1803-11-14. Was to be made free 25 years (later amended to 40 years) after completion of road.
- Randolph Turnpike (North Royalton - East Randolph) chartered 1805-11-07. Corporation dissolved 1833-11-06.
