First Ladies Portraits Gallery
[edit]Hi everyone. According to this page, and this one, there are six portraits of First Ladies that hang in the Vermeil Room, therefore I am going to replace all six of the portraits on the page, because contrary to belief, they are all avaliable. Happyme22 18:34, 17 June 2007 (UTC)
Hey Happy: it's not "contrary to belief." The White House web site is unequivocal in two specific ways that there are seven (7) portraits of First Ladies in the Vermeil Room. You seemed to do no more than "count" the jpgs that appear on the pages you referenced; however, this page and the panoramic photo on this page cleary demonstrate seven portraits. With your edits, your hero gets as many mentions and graphics as possible. This was a demonstration of how, contrary to fact, you will do whatever you can to burnish the legacy of the Reagans (removing your POV and made up "facts" from the Ronald Reagan article became a full time job, which I quit). None of the other White House rooms wiki articles display any of the portraits in them (many do not even list their titles and/or subjects; alas, none of the other rooms have portraits of Nancy Reagan, so maybe we can figure that one out for ourselves). There is no valid reason why this article should be lengthened in size by doing so.Info999 19:29, 17 June 2007 (UTC)
