VDA is an acronym which is also used for an Electronic Data Exchange standard originating in Germany and used in the automotive industry. The original version was a hierarchical SDF format, but has been superseded by EDIFACT-based messages. I am not aware if these are now aligned with the Odette automotive EDI standard. Some disambiguation might be required. Chrisj1948 14:02, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

Verband der Automobilindustrie → German Association of the Automotive Industry – This seems to be the official English title of the company, per WP:USEENGLISH. GnocchiFan (talk) 13:47, 12 November 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose. Not commonly seen in translation. No need to slavishly translate everything into English. -- Necrothesp (talk) 14:27, 14 November 2023 (UTC)
