Private Life
[edit]According to imdb.com, Farmiga and Roché are divorced, and the 9/3/06 issue of the New York Times Magazine makes reference to "her boyfriend, Renn Hawkey" (who is also listed in the IMDb). --Nick
The article says she was born in Passaic County NJ, then a few sentences later that she was born in Livingston NJ. Livingston NJ is in Essex County.
It also says she was born in Clifton, NJ. If so, she was born at home- there aren't any hospitals in Clifton. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.212.23.45 (talk) 19:06, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
Although I have no reason to doubt that she attended this school, I googled it and couldn't find any reliable first-hand references, only fan-submitted trivia sites like the IMDB and its clones. Doesn't seem like a big deal anyway. Mad Jack 06:44, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
- She's mentioned as an alumni in our 2006-2007 HCRHS Yearbook. If need by, I can get a snapshot of the page that mentions her. - Brandon Rhea 00:42, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
Photo
[edit]Do you think maybe we can get a decent public domain photo of her?? i just think the DVD doesn't really cut it...
Info Box
[edit]There seems to be a discrepancy between the info box and the article, when it discusses the spouses of Farmiga. The article says she ended the marriage to Roché in 2003, while the info box says that they divorced in 2005. Did they stay together another 2 years or what? Or was the divorce finalized in 2005? Please be a bit more clear about this. Take care. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Borninbronx10 (talk • contribs) 15:36, 15 December 2009 (UTC)
Age
[edit]The article states that she was born in 1966. The photo stats that she was born in 1973. 76.184.130.62 (talk) 11:26, 3 April 2010 (UTC) Citizen
Yeah the IMDB states 1973 too. But I think that's BS, she looks wayyyy too old to be born in 1973. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.105.148.144 (talk) 09:05, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
Manual of style
[edit]WP:Photos says: Multiple images in the same article can be staggered right-and-left (for example, Timpani). However, avoid sandwiching text between two images that face each other, and between an image and an infobox or similar. If multiple related images are being placed on the right, then Template:Multiple images may be useful. It is often preferable to place images of faces so that the face or eyes look toward the text. However, images of people need not be reversed simply to make the person's face point the text, and should not be done if the reversal would materially mislead the viewer (e.g., by making the subject of the article or section appear to have a birthmark on the left side of his face, when the birthmark is actually on the right side). By this rationale, I have retained the photo to the right so her eyes are facing the text.
Documentation of {{Infobox person}} says: Name of spouse, followed by years of marriage. Use the format Name (1950–present) for current spouse and Name (1970–1999) for former spouse(s); for convenience, consider using {{marriage}}. Separate entries using {{Plainlist}} or {{Unbulleted list}}. For deceased persons still married at time of death, close the date range with death year. By this rationale, for convenience, I have used {{marriage}}. Please do not violate the Manual of Style except for a good reason. Elizium23 (talk) 20:04, 20 July 2012 (UTC)
"Bates Motel"
[edit]Somebody needs to include how Farmiga will be playing the role of Norman Bates' mother Norma Bates in the upcoming A&E series "Bates Motel". --Saukkomies talk 22:13, 7 December 2012 (UTC)

External links modified
[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on Vera Farmiga. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}

- Attempted to fix sourcing for http://www.telegraph.co.uk/arts/main.jhtml?xml=/arts/2008/08/30/sm_verafarmiga130.xml
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}

@RedLiquorice: Interesting choice an article to bring for evaluation against the much-coveted Good Article standards! It looks fine through a cursory glance, but my assessment should take more than a week. So please stick around and put this review page onto your watchlist so I don't have to ping you frequently. Possibly you could mention what drew you to editing the article and why you are nominating it at this time. SLIGHTLYmad 04:31, 18 September 2017 (UTC)
- No problem. I've been a fan of this actress for a while and have been a frequent editor to the article for a couple of years, putting in the work to bring it to a good standard. I feel now is as good a time as any to see if it passes for a Good Article! RedLiquorice (talk) 12:04, 18 September 2017 (UTC)

Closing comment: Alright since the article, as it stands, is well-researched and broad, contains appropriately licensed photos, free from grammar issues, and places the subject in context with no bias whatsoever, I'm happy to say the article has passed against the Good Article criteria. Well done! You may be interested in nominating the article for WP:DYK as it's a newly-promoted GA; more information can be read at that page.
P.S. Employing the magic of the IA bot tool, I've managed to archive all sources retrieved online by a single click. You're welcome. SLIGHTLYmad 14:43, 26 September 2017 (UTC)
