Orphaned references in Vente Pa' Ca
[edit]I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Vente Pa' Ca's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Good job on nominating more and more GANs, I will take this one on soon, though the review might be a bit slower than usual since I'm on holiday. --K. Peake 08:32, 13 August 2021 (UTC)
Thank you so much. آرمین هویدایی (talk) 11:21, 13 August 2021 (UTC)
Infobox and lead
[edit]- Trans-title should not be in the infobox
- Are you sure Dsign Music and Mau y Ricky should be piped to more than once in the infobox?
- "featuring vocals by" → "featuring a guest appearance from"
- Dsign Music and Mau y Ricky shouldn't be piped to more than once in prose
- "The track received widely positive" → "The song received widely positive"
- Can't you add a sentence after the above one about the song's year-end rankings?
- Introduce the US Hot Latin Songs chart as being a Billboard one
- "It was nominated for" → "The song was nominated for the awards of" moving this to being the first sentence of the para instead
- The YouTube views should be after the synopsis in the video sentence
- "To promote the song," → "To promote "Vente Pa' Ca","
- "Multiple artists contestants on" → "Multiple contestants on"
- "featuring Delta Goodrem and" → "featuring Delta Goodrem, and" since otherwise it looks like they are both members
- Done For the year-end rankings, should I add anything else or that's enough?--آرمین هویدایی (talk) 16:43, 14 August 2021 (UTC)
- I meant rankings on year-end lists, not the awards... these should be at the end of the first para. --K. Peake 19:51, 15 August 2021 (UTC)
- Sorry for my misunderstanding, I added it. آرمین هویدایی (talk) 22:12, 15 August 2021 (UTC)
Background and release
[edit]- "in Miami, Florida and announced that they were recording a song" → "in Miami, Florida, and announced that they were collaborating on a song"
- "both were seen wearing total white outfit" → "the singers were seen wearing fully white outfits" but is this about the song's music video or a video clip teasing it?
- Yes, those images were from the music video. آرمین هویدایی (talk) 21:56, 15 August 2021 (UTC)
- Move this sentence to the music video section then. --K. Peake 09:24, 16 August 2021 (UTC)
- "to invite Maluma into the mix" → "to invite Maluma to collaborate"
- "on his social media." → "on his Instagram." with the wikilink, as this is the platform the source really backs up
- I added twitter to back it up. آرمین هویدایی (talk) 21:56, 15 August 2021 (UTC)
- Mention that it was released for digital download and streaming as a single
Music and lyrics
[edit]- You should remove the source from the audio sample text since it does not mention the chorus itself, though keep the text as it is with no quote marks and write out upbeat in the opening sentence of prose with the source
- Mention the song as including elements of Latin music too per [25]
- "describes the single as" → "described it as"
- Mention that it contains various sexual innuendos per the source
Critical reception
[edit]- Shouldn't the reviews be organised by thematic elements?
- I'm sorry, I don't understand. What should I do? Can you please explain it or give me an example?--آرمین هویدایی (talk) 10:45, 16 August 2021 (UTC)
- I mean that you should organise the reviews based on what was praised, placing the ones mentioning the part that was most praised at the start and continuing by following suite for the next most praised parts, i.e the rhythm/fusion of genres should probably be first. --K. Peake 08:03, 19 August 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks for explaining. آرمین هویدایی (talk) 08:55, 19 August 2021 (UTC)
- "she named it" → "she named the song"
- "described it as a" → "described "Vente Pa' Ca" as"
- "and Aishwarya Rai from" → "while Aishwarya Rai from" to make it clear that both lists were in 2019
- "ranked it as" → "ranked the track as"
- "labeled it "[a]" → "labeled the song "[a]"
- "wrote that the singers" → "wrote that Martin and Maluma"
- Put some of the Los 40 review into your own words per WP:QUOTEFARM
- "described it as" → "described the song as"
- "and ranked it" → "and ranked the track"
- "named it a" → "named the song a"
- "described it as" → "going on to observe"
- "and said that it" → "and said that the song"
- A full-stop is not needed at the end of the sentence when an exclamation mark is provided from the original quote
Accolades
[edit]- "placed "Vente Pa' Ca" in" → "placed "Vente Pa' Ca" on"
- "ranked it as the" → "ranked the track as the"
- "placed it on an" → "placed the track on an"
- Remove wikilink on 2010s per obviousness
- "at number 5" → "at number five" per MOS:NUM on consistency
- "was nominated for" → "was nominated for both"
- "in both categories." → "in the categories."
- Pipe BMI Latin Awards to Broadcast Music, Inc.
Commercial performance
[edit]- "It debuted at" → "The song debuted at"
- Shouldn't you mention that Hot Latin Songs is a Billboard chart?
- "million streams and" → "million streams, and"
- "It also debuted at" → "The song also debuted at"
- "It later peaked at" → "The song later peaked at"
- "on January 21, 2017 and" → "on January 21, 2017, and"
- "It finished 2017 as the year's 16th top US Latin Streaming Songs hit." → "The song finished 2017 as the 16th biggest hit on the US Latin Streaming Songs year-end chart."
- In the first sentence of the second para, you do not need to mention countries it charted in when the rest of this para backs up the info, especially positions that were very low like France and Italy which are not notable at all
- "In Italy and Switzerland, the single" → "In both Italy and Switzerland, the song"
- Mention the name of Spain's chart
- "It subsequently peaked at number two" → "The song subsequently peaked at number two on the chart"
- "in its next three weeks." → "in the next three weeks."
- "It was later" → ""Vente Pa' Ca" was later"
- Wikilink Monitor Latino
- "It was later ranked" → "The track was later ranked"
- Shouldn't you write "in Canada" instead of "in the region" since the country name is only mentioned in the certification body's?
Promotion
[edit]Music video
[edit]- Img looks good!
- "on the set of filming" → "on the set of filming the" but is the source usable for this since it's not directly stated and was used elsewhere to confirm they were collaborating on the song?
- As I explained in the synopsis, in the music video, they share a selfie together on Instagram. (It is sourced.) That is the selfie. آرمین هویدایی (talk) 09:11, 18 August 2021 (UTC)
- "accidentally meeting and running into" → "accidentally running into"
- "at the hotel, where they party it up Miami-style." → "at the SLS South Beach Hotel, which has a Miami-style."
- "in the hotel," → "of the hotel,"
- "named it Martin's" → "named the visual Martin's"
- "listed "Vente Pa' Ca" among" → "listed it among" because otherwise, it sounds like you are talking about the song
- Remove the 1.7 billion views stat, as YouTube is constantly updating
- @Kyle Peake: I'm sorry, with respect, may I keep it? I saw the YouTube stats in many other songs articles too, and I myself will update it anytime needed. (I always follow his news and milestones.) Since the number is notable, I think having it here would be useful. I mean there's no worry about the constantly updating, since I will update it constantly, but if you still think that I must remove it, I obey. آرمین هویدایی (talk) 09:17, 18 August 2021 (UTC)
- No you should not keep it since the 1.4 billion views stat from the Billboard ref is close enough and directly written out, plus none of the articles that do have YouTube stats from the platform itself are using accurate sourcing; see WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS. --K. Peake 08:03, 19 August 2021 (UTC)
- "it is the" → "the visual is the"
- Mention at the end of the above sentence that it had surpassed 1.4 billion views at the time
Live performances
[edit]- Wikilink Facebook Live instead per MOS:LINK2SECT
- Italicise Viña del Mar International Song Festival
Appearances in media and other versions
[edit]- Img looks good!
- "in a battle to cover the song" → "in a battle of covering the song"
- "in which Escobar won the battle." → "which Escobar won."
- Seasons 12, 13 and 14 are not backed up by the sources
- "danced to it on" → "danced to the song on"
- "Australian singer Delta Goodrem was" → "Australian singer Delta Goodrem, was"
- "co-produced by" → "while co-produced by"
- "ranked it as one of their" → "ranked the song as one of her"
- Italicise popetón
- "Indian singer Akasa Singh were" → "Indian singer Akasa Singh, were"
- "on February 14 and 17, 2017," → "on February 14 and February 17, 2017," for correct formatting

Charts
[edit]Weekly charts
[edit]- No Finland Download position is displayed by the URL
- I think the url is dead. As you can check here, the song has charted on the list, but I can't access "Vente Pa' Ca"'s exclusive page anymore. (Ricky Martin's page also doesn't work anymore, but we have it archived.) While if you suggest me to remove it, I will. آرمین هویدایی (talk) 10:05, 18 August 2021 (UTC)
- You can keep the chart, but use the archive URL as a ref instead of the chart template. --K. Peake 08:03, 19 August 2021 (UTC)
- Shouldn't the Slovakia radio chart be removed since the singles one is here?
- The singles one is only for digital sales and doesn't include other parameters, but I'm still not sure that I can keep it or not. If you still think that I should remove it, I will. آرمین هویدایی (talk) 10:05, 18 August 2021 (UTC)
- Oh I did not know about these rules... keep it then. --K. Peake 08:03, 19 August 2021 (UTC)
- Remove Latin Pop Airplay and Tropical Airplay per WP:USCHARTS
- I'm sorry, but as far as I know, we should keep it according to WP:USCHARTS. The song has not charted on any other Billboard genre charts and it is acceptable to have them here. But tell me if I'm wrong. (Is Bubbling under a genre chart?) آرمین هویدایی (talk) 10:05, 18 August 2021 (UTC)
- "If a song has charted on Hot Latin Songs or Latin Airplay but not any other Billboard genre charts listed on "Applicable US charts" you may add any of the following" under the charts guideline lists Latin Pop Airplay and Tropical Airplay; the song has charted on Hot Latin Songs and Latin Airplay so remove the other two as requested. --K. Peake 08:03, 19 August 2021 (UTC)
- Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't understand it correctly. Thanks for explaining. آرمین هویدایی (talk) 09:06, 19 August 2021 (UTC)
Monthly charts
[edit]- Shouldn't you have a separate table for the different months, or at least write out the first and last months of the charts?
Year-end charts
[edit]- Wikilink Latin Pop Airplay since you can keep it in year-end tables when the main charts weren't reached in these rankings

[edit]- Copyvio score looks fairly good at 31.5%!
- Pipe Vanguardia to Vanguardia (Columbian newspaper) on ref 3
- I'm sorry but this is the Mexican newspaper, the url is different. That's why I didn't pipe it before. آرمین هویدایی (talk) 10:25, 18 August 2021 (UTC)
- Not sure about ref 15's reliability since anyone can submit lyrics on it and I see no proof of an editorial process
- Grammy Award → Grammy Awards on ref 36
- Wikilink Latin Times on ref 40 per MOS:LINK2SECT
- Pipe Broadcast Music Incorporated to Broadcast Music, Inc. on ref 43
- Remove or replace ref 44 per WP:RSP
- Italicisation is in the incorrect areas for ref 62
- WP:OVERLINK of Teletrece on ref 108

- Are you sure ref 112 is a reliable source; it appears to be from an author not properly named?
- Italicise Billboard in ref 125's title
- Replace ref 132 with a working URL or add a ref for the chart with a proper archive
