[edit]What is the reason why this Italian mountain is named with its German name? It is on the border between the Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen, so it is not completely on German speaking territory (and never was), it is named after an Italian city, the German name is a crude combination of Italien and German (literally translated Venice Peak / Venedigspitze / Cima Venezia), google results in Italien are 1070 vs. 183? --Herzi Pinki (talk) 19:58, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
- I suspect it's because there is no apparent article for this mountain on the Italian wiki but there is a German wiki article which is using this German name. RedWolf (talk) 16:02, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
