"Venereology" means the study of veneral diseases. Shouldn't that field of research be the main article on wikipedia and the Merzbow album be under "Venereology (album)"? Nagelfar 20:41, 8 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit]I removed the following text from the article:
- Dr.siva rami reddy 08:15, 2 October 2006 (UTC)Venereology is a branch of medical science dealing with the study and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases. It includes study of HIV infection.A medical doctor specializes in venereology is a venereologist. In some countries the speciality is combined with dermatology, and the department is called Department of Dermatology and Venereology. In U.K the Department of Venereology is called Department of Genitourinary medicine. In some countries, the academic department is called Department of Sexually Transmitted Diseases. The venereal diseases include bacterial, viral, fungal and parasitic infections. Some of the important diseases are HIV infection syphilis, gonorrhoea, candidiasis, genital herpes,Human papilloma virus infection, and genital scabies.
It is possible that this could be made into a stub article for venereology, as opposed to the current article, which perhaps ought to be Venereology (album). Michael Slone (talk) 18:31, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
- Still I feel the main article should be about Venereology, the study of sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV.
- Dr.Reddy
- I've made a stub article for Venereology based on the text above. Michael Slone (talk) 19:41, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Venereology.jpg
[edit]Image:Venereology.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
