Talk:Vehicle title

I removed the globalize tag because I felt it was not warranted. This is the English wikipedia after all, so an article about something related to British and American bureaucracies is naturally going to seem slanted towards US and UK viewpoints. However, in this case, such specificity to said countries is integral to the article. There are probably not articles about U.S. vehicle titles in other language wikipedias, but they very well might have, and certainly can have, articles about their own vehicle titles. Finally, I see no point in having a tag up if there is no apparent way to globalize the article (short of listing every country's vehicle title process, which is unrealistic and beyond the scope of the article). I'm not going to play edit wars if someone puts the tag back up, as long as they justify their reasoning as well here. Mr0t1633 (talk) 14:42, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
The paragraph for the UK is in error. The V5 in the UK is not a certificate of title, it merely identifies the Registered Keeper, not the Registered Owner. JonRB (talk) 16:02, 10 September 2009 (UTC)
- The paragraph for the UK seems to have disappeared anyway...
- Which is a shame because I was actually looking for information on the British vehicle ownership paperwork and not the American one...
- But reading the article and the talk just made me think about the following: shouldn't this article be titled "American Vehicle title" and then another article could be written about UK's V5 and whatever document there is for the Registered Owner...
- What do you think? Dom64 (talk) 16:24, 20 February 2023 (UTC)
Is the paragraph about the UK not having vehicle titles really necessary? Car Title Loans Orlando It just seems random because many countries do not have vehicle titles, yet the UK is specifically mentioned out of all of them? 65.183.128.154 (talk) 17:59, 28 February 2012 (UTC)
At least in Pennsylvania, the purchaser of a vehicle receives a pink copy of the title application form. 74.111.121.243 (talk) 06:14, 9 January 2017 (UTC)
