Books written by Mr. M. Veerappa Moily
[edit]Law Minister Mr. M.Veerappa Moily has a written a book “The edge of time” It is a Kannada novel Tembare which examines, a complex cultural practice of coastal Karnataka, called bhutaradhane, or the worship of heor-spirits. The Pambada community, a marginalised dalit community, has as its hereditary profession, spirit impersonation during elaborate rituals. Mr. Moily explored two responses to this traditional and exploitative profession through two Pambada brothers: one who rebels and opts for formal education, and the other who tries to revive the true spirit of the ancient practice. (courtesy : Prasanta Varma, Advocate, Supreme Court of India). Mr. Moily is an advocate by profession, he entered politics about four decades ago and he became the chief minister of Karnataka in the year 1992. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.192.241.43 (talk) 09:39, 6 July 2009 (UTC)

- Oppose. It is not similar to the pagemove of the Kasturirangan page. In that case, the page was moved from "Kasturirangan" to "Krishnaswamy Kasturirangan"; from a title containing only the surname to a title contaning his first name as well. It might be argued in that case that article titles containing only the surname are not good enough in some cases. This page, however, has both the first and last name already, and certainly, as shown, the initial "M" is not frequently used. MikeLynch (talk) 18:49, 30 December 2012 (UTC)
