Plural
[edit]is the plural "vasti laterales"? 71.87.23.22 (talk) 20:29, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
Jargon
[edit]Writing as a scientist but as a layman in anatomy/biology, I find the amount of jargon in this article rendering it completely unreadable. I have this complaint about many anatomy articles on Wikipedia. 76.250.36.231 (talk) 03:19, 19 April 2012 (UTC)
- My background is the same, and (more than three years later) I have the same complaint. It would be refreshing if someone who can understand what is written here would rewrite it at an encyclopedic level that can be understood by an intelligent layperson and not just by medical professionals. As it is, only the inbox tells us which movement of the leg this muscle is responsible for; let's put basic information like this in the article itself. Thanks in advance for your contribution. - Right. Thanks for pointing this out, Piperh. I've tried to translate this into lay English as much as possible, please let me know what you think. --Tom (LT) (talk) 07:53, 6 June 2015 (UTC)
- Tom, thanks for your valuable improvements. I'm still missing any mention except in the infobox of what movement of the leg this muscle provides, so I've added a sentence expressing this (accurately, I hope) in terms that a layperson should be able to understand.Piperh (talk) 09:54, 3 June 2017 (UTC)
Images
[edit]The single image attached is somewhat misleading as the highlighted muscle in the image is actually the sartorius. The Vastus lateralis is also shown but not highlighted. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.135.190.101 (talk) 19:45, 1 April 2017 (UTC)
