Hello, I'm Azealia911 talk and I'll be reviewing this article against the good article criteria. Cartoon network freak, I'm happy to tell you that I can't see any areas of the article that call for an immediate failure, so I'll be fully reviewing this article within the next day. Honestly, I'm not sure if you'll be able to get it up to passing standard within the seven day on-hold period, but I'd love you to prove me wrong. Comments to come soon! Azealia911 talk 13:55, 3 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Here's my review, as you can see, I've split the article up into sections that mimic the articles layout, for ease. Any green text indicates I'm quoting from the article.

Lead

[edit]
  • is a song by → is a song recorded by
  • Unlink vocalist
  • Remove which was released worldwide on November 24, 2014
  • and featuring guest vocals → which featured guest vocals
  • Add a comma after Fonogram Records
  • from her second full-length record → from the album
  • Remove It was gradually released to other European countries throughout 2015.

Infobox

Background and composition

[edit]
  • Un-italicize Vanilla Chocolat in the quote box.
  • "Vanilla Chocolat" is the fifth single from Unlocked. needs citation.
  • The dance-pop song has an upbeat sound, a high-pitched Bollywood string in its refrain and additional lyrics written in French. needs citation.
  • It was recorded at Fonogram Studios in Bucharest. needs citation.
  • Stan had been working on new songs for Unlocked since 2013. needs citation.
  • She spent a week in October 2013 at the Fonocamp writing-camp in Azuga, where she composed along with Romanian and international artists. needs citation.
  • Then she went to Los Angeles for a special session with renowned composers and producers. needs citation.

Critical response

[edit]
  • This section is one large quote farm, try trimming down the large POPSHOCK quote.

Music video

[edit]
  • A selfie video, which also served as the official video for "Vanilla Chocolat", premiered on December 18, 2014. needs citation.
  • It was directed by Stan during a week with just one camera. needs citation.
  • She filmed herself on different TV shows, where she was invited to perform her new song. needs citation.
  • In the video clip she's seen performing at various shows, including "Neata cu Razvan si Dani" and "La Maruță". needs citation.
  • Stan also directed at the Fonogram Studios, Roton Studios, the rehearsal room of Emil Rengle and her own house. needs citation.

Credits and personnel

[edit]
  • As opposed to having the source next to only one name, the ref that backs this section up should have a note at the top that reads something like:
Credits for "Vanilla Chocolat" adapted from the official video's credits[8].

Track listings

[edit]
  • The digital download single needs a source.

References

[edit]
  • Can you find any other sources that are in English? While non-Enlgish sources are allowed, this is the English Wikipedia, and I'm only seeing one English source.
  • Adevărul should be in italics.
  • Avoid the SHOUTING in reference 5's title.
  • iTunes should be unlinked in reference 10, 11, and 12.

  • Status: On-hold for seven days.

A lot to work on in the seven-day period, and I could fail this. But I want to give you a chance considering I immediately failed three other articles you GA-nommed. If you need more time than a week, ask me, but I'll only give you so long. Alternatively, if you feel you won't be able to address my comments in a week-or-two, you can request me to fail this so you can work on the article at your own pace, and re-nominate it when my comments are addressed. Either way, good luck! Azealia911 talk 14:40, 3 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Re review

[edit]

Re-reviewing this after being notified that improvements had been Incorporated into the article.

  • josepvinaixa is an unreliable source.
  • A fan's tweet is even more unreliable, meaning that a large majority of the information presented in 'Background and composition' is still unsourced.
  • The quotes from POPSHOCk are still too large.
  • Per WP:NOENG, non-English references should be quoted in their original language, then followed by an English translation.

I'm not even sure if there's enough reliable, third party sources out there to make this article much more than a stub. At this point, there seems to be too many issues with sourcing within the article, and therefore I am failing this article. Thankyou for your work on it up to now, and it has improved from when I started the review, but after searching I just can't find enough reliable information that proves that this song is even notable, let alone does it have enough information to qualify it for GA. Feel free to address my final comments and re-nominate, at which point I'll let another editor review it, you'll be glad to hear. Best, Azealia911 talk 15:05, 4 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
