Lede

[edit]

I don't understand these sentences in the lede they seem contradictory: Vincent often felt divided from his family, particularly regarding religion. For the family members he remained close, sharing his love for them in his art. I think they need re-wording...Modernist (talk) 11:23, 18 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Very good point. How is: "Although Vincent often felt removed from his family, once he hit his stride artistically and made work his family members enjoyed, he shared his love for them through his art."--From Carole Henson 08:35, 18 May 2011
Just realized that item was from me, but I forgot to sign it. Since it was mine, and there were no further comments I'll check and edit if needed.--CaroleHenson (talk) 06:28, 7 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Update on scrubbing

[edit]

I've scrubbed the copyvio/plagiarism through the first para of the Anna (Vincent's mother) section. More is needed. I'm unwatching this now, but will come back to check the progress. Truthkeeper88 (talk) 14:01, 30 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

@Victoriaearle, Truthkeeper88, and Modernist:I came here for research about writing about families and saw this talk section. I see that there was some editing on June 30, 2011... thanks.
Since this time I've learned about the dupe checker - and I see that there are some minor changes that could be made for the Memoir 1 source based on this comparison and some copy editing opportunities.
Is this article still considered to have close-paraphrasing issues? If so, I'll run dup checker on all the sources and edit accordingly.--CaroleHenson (talk) 06:52, 7 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
