Baroque Pop?
[edit]How does this album qualify as Baroque Pop? If nobody provides reasoning I'm deleting it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mastercheif (talk • contribs) 18:55, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
Removal of professional review
[edit]Your edits to a.o. Vampire Weekend (album)
Please take care in adding interviews. Your behaviour can be explained as spamming, and in some cases does not follow guidelines/policy (e.g. we are not a linkfarm). Could you please discuss your edits on talkpages/with an appropriate wikiproject. Thanks. --Dirk Beetstra T C 15:39, 27 June 2008 (UTC)
The link to clashmusic.com's review of the album I added was removed (an album review, not an interview as stated above).
I understand that Wikipedia is 'not a linkfarm' but it was posted in the appropriate section in the page along with other publication's reviews.
I feel it useful to point out that Clash is a UK magazine on a par with NME and Q, indeed the web traffic to the site now exceeds Q's. It also supplies news content to the BBC's music section - http://www.bbc.co.uk/music/rockindie/news/
If these magazine's reviews are allowed in the 'professional reviews' section, why aren't Clash's?
- Because albums are usually limited to ten reviews, at most, with preference to certain sites over others. If you disagree with that, the place to talk about it is the album template discussion (see above), not here, since ostensibly this page would follow those directives. Mis-spell in track listings
[edit]The track listed as "One (Blane's got a new face)" is actually : "One (Blake's got a new face)
Synthpop
[edit]Nowhere is this record referred to as synthpop, unlike Contra, so it should not be included. If a source can be found, then maybe. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.105.44.63 (talk) 20:06, 7 May 2013 (UTC)
Indie rock
[edit]Hi,
I was the one who made that editors regarding indue rock, but it is said in sources like allmusic, metacritic, Album of the year, musicboard and The Guardian. Can't we add this even if the sources have said it was too? 121.44.210.132 (talk) 11:45, 20 October 2023 (UTC)
- We don't use AllMusic's automated sidebar genres because they have proven to be unreliable. See WP:ALBUMAVOID. Instead, we use genres that are described by human authors. Binksternet (talk) 21:54, 27 October 2023 (UTC)
