Let's please hold off on adding references about Yemelyanov's portrayal in The New Order: Last Days of Europe, the modification for Hearts of Iron IV. I would agree with you, however, for certain people like Sergei Taboritsky were basically introduced by the mod. I think for lesser known people, a nod of sorts should be given to the mod.
