@Titodutta: What does "Jana" mean here, in "a Vaishnava Jana (a follower of Vishnu)"? It certainly doesn't fit the definition on the DAB page Jana

Jana (Vedic period), a term for tribes in ancient India

And that page redirects to List of Rigvedic tribes, which doesn't even mention the term. It's not in Wiktionary in anything like this meaning. --Thnidu (talk) 03:31, 26 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
