Admin Request
[edit]{{Adminreq}}
- Hello Admin, would you please semi-protect this article, there is a lot of anonymous editors that keep adding uncited entries or spam entries for this article. Thank you JunoBeach (talk) 21:30, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
- The better spot to request that is at WP:RPP. Having said that, since this request is a few months old and there hasn't been much activity since then, I see no reason to protect the page. Jauerbackdude?/dude. 20:35, 4 January 2013 (UTC)
Is this the same thing as Al-Khalid II?

Who is tom servo or joel hodgeson?
[edit]Who is Tom Servo or Joel Hodgeson?
- It's just vandalism, probably by 2 primary school students having a laugh adding their names to Wikipedia. I've removed it. - BilCat (talk) 03:11, 13 June 2015 (UTC)

MBT-3000 engine power and numbers
[edit]I've edited the MBT3000's engine power.
I'm not sure why but english sources have the engine power rated at 1300HP when the chinese reference have them at 1200HP.[1] As an export tank, it would be more likely that the numbers are overstated than understated. Hence, I think the 1200HP is more reliable.
The source is an interview with a Norinco designer and it's sourced from Norinco's own magazine Tanks and AFVs
He rattles off some numbers. If anybody here would be an expert and determine their reliability, I would be glad to include them.

Classified armor vandalism
[edit]As you may have noticed, someone keeps coming back to this article changing the wording "classified" to "crassified". I have reverted this edit coming from different IP addresses every time at least 4 times in total now, counting from my head.
Because of these repeat offenses utilizing a different unconfirmed IP address every time I am now pretty certain this is a case of vandalism and I can no longer assume good faith.
I ask you to remain vigilant and I'd like to know your input as to what kind of actions are available to this and if and when we may need to implement these to stop this vandalism.
Thanks in advance, Jurryaany (talk) 07:08, 18 September 2016 (UTC)
VT5
[edit]A newer MBT has just been unveiled by Norinco, the VT5, there is insufficient information in the article to be sure if this is a development of the VT-4 or a new design. I thought someone might be interested in including some reference in this article. IHS Jane's--Boreas74 You'll catch more flies with honey 12:57, 2 November 2016 (UTC)
From online sources the VT-5 is actually the export variant of China's new 105mm gun light tank design. Since it has a smaller caliber gun it shouldn't be part of the page. However, information is too scarce to give the VT-5 more than a stub IMORedArrowSG (talk) 03:46, 5 November 2016 (UTC)
Export to Iraq
[edit]I removed the statement that Chinese media were claiming that the vehicle has been sold to Iraq. The source given was sina.com.cn and it said [...]据伊拉克媒体消息,伊政府正准备向中国购买价值25亿美元的军事装备,包括红旗9型防空导弹与VT4型主战坦克。 My Chinese is a bit limited, but at first glance this translates to something similar to "according to Iraqi media, the Iraqi government is planning to buy military equipment worth 250 million USD from China, including the VT-4 tank". So what we really have is Chinese media claiming that Iraqi media say that Iraq might buy the tank. I.e. nothing but speculation. The tank in the image at sima.com.cn is an M1, correct? Map update
[edit]Nigeria have already received the tanks, time to update the map to the more commonly used one. Nebakin (talk) 11:02, 26 June 2020 (UTC)
