[edit]Plasmidmap added "advert" tag to the Features section. But it is the list of features. In which way it is "advertisement"? A feature list is an important part of any Wikipedia page about a software program. How else could you describe the software? Most pages about text editors and other programs have some sort of feature lists. Should they all be marked with the "advert" tag?
Perhaps you could give an example of a sentence that is "advertisement" and re-phrase it so that it would not be an advertisement.

- Since there was no answer, I removed the "advert" tag. I did remove some adjectives from the text. Even though those adjectives were accurate, some people may feel they sound like "advertisement". --PauliKL (talk) 21:12, 11 December 2008 (UTC)
- I worked as a programmer in the computer typesetting department at kingsport press 1969-2003 and have been exposed to a number of text editors. We used Vedit from version 3 to 5 for over a decade starting in 1991. An honest description of VEdit will come across as "puffery" or "peacockery": it is a very good product and it is hard for an experienced user to avoid adjectives that sound like ad copy. Irrelevant "Advert" templates
[edit]Some unregistered user from IP address 206.205.250.4 has (again) added irrelevant "advert" and "tone" templates. Unless that someone can explain why those templates would be relevand, they will be removed within few days. PauliKL (talk) 13:53, 17 August 2013 (UTC)
