Title
[edit]There are no reliable English sources on this band at all. Though CD covers like this do confirm V.O.S Voice of Soul without the third dot ...not unusual because in Korean like Japanese and Chinese dots are used to separate western capitals, S.O.S , T.N.T, A.B.C would also be written without the third dot in Korean text for "브이오에스" or "브이.오.에스". This isn't so much a stylism as a product of the band's name being "브이오에스" (Bee-Oh-Ess).
This article should move to V.O.S. (band) or V.O.S (band) or better V.O.S (Korean band) or V.O.S. (Korean band) to distinguish from Vos (Danish band) also sometimes written VOS in caps. In ictu oculi (talk) 06:20, 30 June 2014 (UTC)
- As I said on In ictu oculi's talk page, I think the title should remain at V.O.S, since that is the most accurate title and no other article uses that exact title. I don't think people will frequently type "V.O.S" with just two periods unless they want this article. People who reach this page by mistake can find the article they were actually looking for by using the link to the disambiguation page in the hatnote, so moving the article doesn't really help people find the pages they are looking for. - I don't think people will frequently type "V.O.S" with just two periods either, unless they want this article. What they will type is [V.O ...] and then the menu options will drop down. This is how it works on 2 PCs and 2 mobiles. (Typing in [[VO ..] doesn't work at all.) User:Calathan please try this experiment on (i) a PC, (ii) and iPhone or Android. Imagine you are trying to find V.O.S. dab for listing of these
- Hitachi VOS, a mainframe computer operating system by Hitachi Data Systems
- Stratus VOS, a fault-tolerant computer operating system, developed by Stratus
- VOS, Virtual Object System, a free and open platform for multiuser 3D virtual reality and interactive, collaborative 3D virtual spaces

V.O.S → V.O.S (band) – Multiple meanings but if VOS means anything in Google Books it is Very Old Sherry. "VOS stands for". A missing third dot per WP:DIFFPUNCT is not enough to distinguish a Korean boy band. In ictu oculi (talk) 05:03, 10 August 2014 (UTC)
- Support per nom, it should point to the disambiguation page -- 65.94.169.222 (talk) 06:53, 10 August 2014 (UTC)
