This article has been redirected to Oghuz people. To be certain, Uzes were (probably) a branch of Oghuz people. However bulk of Oghuz people lived in what is now Turkmenistan. Uzes were a branch of these people lived in what is now Moldovia and Ukrania. They had a different history and the names Oghuz and Uzes are not synonym. Thus the two articles can't be merged.
