The section on the numbers killed contains a lot of statements of teh form "x claims" "y says" z admits", which I believe is depreciated here. (There is also a problem of weasle words ("Some claim"), although that comes from the cited source. The source also seems to contradict itself, but saying at the start (and again later) that tens of thousands died, then saying that "Even the lowest estimates put the death toll at more than 100,000 people". (Which also contradicts that Russian claim, which comes from a Russian language source so I can't assess it).
Unfortunately, this is a subject I know nothing about (hadn't even heard of it until today), so I cant' really help in fixing it. Wardog (talk) 11:44, 31 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I made this page into a redirect to Central Asian revolt of 1916 for now since it was a mess sourced exclusively on websites written in Cyrillic. However, the Urkun obviously is important for Kyrgyz history. What someone (that's you) should therefore probably do is rewrite this page dealing only with the Russian-perpetrated genocide in Kyrgyztan, while the historical background goes into the revolt article. Thoughts? --Zarasophos (talk) 13:48, 27 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
