Pollution
[edit]Needs information/links to environmental/pollution aspects, practices and regulations around the world. Specifically, what are the most environmentally correct ways to recover gold from discarded electronics? And, compare to the adverse environmental impacts of primary gold mining/production.-69.87.203.172 11:14, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
- Note that this comment is now outdated, because it was in regards to the content when the article was titled and based upon "Digger gold". Per the discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Digger gold, the article was rewritten while the AfD discussion was occurring, and a consensus formed to move the Digger gold article to this page name. I also moved the Digger gold talk page to this talk page in the process. North America1000 02:38, 4 October 2019 (UTC)
I believe this article is a hoax
[edit]I can find nothing about "digger gold" on the Web, except for copies of this Wikipedia article. The term simply isn't used. Equinox ◑ 13:55, 19 September 2019 (UTC)
- @Equinox: Just an FYI: this talk page has been moved here from Talk:Digger gold. Per the discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Digger gold, the article was rewritten while the AfD discussion was occurring, and a consensus formed to move the Digger gold article to this page name. I also moved the Digger gold talk page to this talk page in the process. The article's focus is now upon the topic of urban mining, rather than digger gold, at this time. Needs updating
[edit]The English version of this page limits the concept of the urban mine to electronics, but it is used much more widely these days to reflect all types of materials that are flowing through or stocked in our economy. It is seen as a central concept to the topic of circular economy. Pages in other languages (Dutch) already reflect this somewhat. Jacco Verstraeten-Jochemsen (talk) 08:14, 14 May 2024 (UTC)
