There is a major problem with this article. There is no way that Uppland can be construed as being "divided" into three counties, especially since two of the counties (Västmanland and Stockholm) have a large part of their territory in other provinces. Also, after the transfer of Heby Municipality to Uppsala County on January 1, 2007, there isn't that much of Västmanland County left in Uppland at all. So I will rewrite this paragraph entirely. - Also, Aland is an island in the middle of the Baltic. How in the world could it share a border? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 143.231.249.138 (talk) 19:21, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
- The border runs across the tiny skerry "Märket", with Uppland, Sweden on the western part of the skerry, and Åland, Finland on the eastern. By the way Åland is not "an island in the middle of the Baltic", but an archipelago of about 6,500 islands and skerries, Märket being the westernmost and the only one not solely belonging to Finland. –Tommy Kronkvist (talk), 07:45, 30 June 2017 (UTC).
