Radar: vital key experiment at Upper Stowe
[edit]In 1939 a key experiment in the development of RADAR took place in a field at Upper Stowe. (There is a plaque next to the field to commerate this) It was shown by the scientists (Chiefly Arnold "Skip" Wilkins OBE), that an aircraft could be detected by the interference caused to radio signals, thereby starting the research leading to RADAR in all its forms we know today. Does anyone else agree that this fact should be recorded (prominently?)on the Wikipaedia entry for "Upper Stowe"? 86.139.25.164 (talk) 14:56, 13 October 2024 (UTC)
