Reason for Closure
[edit]An anonymous editor had added a comment that the 2 April 1962 closure was as a result of a Serious Accident. I do not recall there having been any such accident and have trawled The Railway Archive. As a result I have reverted the edit, however if anyone can identify the relevant issue, then is merits a significant entry in the main text. --Stewart (talk) 11:27, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
- Certainly is a new one on me. All my usual sources just say that BR decided that it was pointless having trains going past Neilston, or words to that effect. Surely if the station closed forever due to a train crash it would be well documented? --Dreamer84 22:15, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
