Plot detail error?
One minor point of contention. The page currently states that "Pedro's uncle's upholstery shop, which is really a marijuana marketing plant", however from my viewing of the film it appears that the upholstery shop Pedro and Man pick up the van from is in fact not Pedro's uncle's shop, but one just up the street. This is implied by the fact that when on the phone Pedro records the address as being "1811", but when retreiving the note with the address on it from Man, reads it as 1817. Changed "coerced" to "tricked"
Intro paragraph read: "Tommy Chong...manages to coerce Pedro (Cheech) into picking him up off the side of a highway by posing as a woman with large breasts." I just changed "coerced" to "tricked." When you COERCE someone, you use force or threats against that person to get him/her to do something. Chong does not coerce Cheech, he tricks him, which is different.
What was the budget of this movie?
Article status
Changed "Up in Smoke was Cheech and Chong's first feature-length film, released in 1978." to "Up in Smoke, directed by Lou Adler, was Cheech and Chong's first feature-length film, released in 1978 by Paramount. It stars Cheech Marin, Tommy Chong, Edie Adams, Strother Martin and Stacy Keach"Alf 20:37, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)
I added the film stub code because I really don't think that there's enough info here to qualify as a complete article. There's still a lot to be said about the making of and critical reception and the film's financial success. The plot summary is the longest part of the article, really. ::shrugs:: (Sugar Bear 04:32, 11 November 2005 (UTC))
