"Fabricator"
[edit]To my British English ear, this word is very odd - either pretentious or made up. How does it sound to Americans? --Dweller (talk) 16:27, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
In the museum and art fields, "fabricator" is a term used to describe a company or individual who will fabricate ([1]construct, manufacture: to construct from diverse and usually standardized parts) a work of art or exhibit element.JillRGordon (talk) 20:09, 15 December 2009 (UTC)
- We use the verb, but not the noun constructed from it in the UK. If it's accepted usage in the USA, that's absolutely fine - see WP:ENGVAR. Still makes me shudder though! --Dweller (talk) 20:44, 15 December 2009 (UTC)
Status?
[edit]I couldn't find this work when I was in Indianapolis recently. Perhaps moved? ---Another Believer (Talk) 18:58, 21 October 2024 (UTC)
