University of Texas at Austin stabbing2024 University of Texas at Austin stabbing – Add year to title, there was another stabbing at UT Austin in 2017 that also had significant media attention. [Texas Tribune] [USA Today] [CBS News] TheAmazingRaspberry (talk) 00:13, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Can we just delete or merge this? A singular non-famous person being non-fatally stabbed is almost always going to fail WP:NEVENT. As is this article only says it happened and some brief reactions to it immediately after it happened. We have so many articles about this topic that I'm certain it can be merged somewhere. We don't even have an article on the 2017 UT stabbing and that one actually seems substantially closer to passing NEVENT than this one is. PARAKANYAA (talk) 23:04, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Move reverted

[edit]

The above discussed move to 2024 University of Texas at Austin stabbing has been reverted to University of Texas at Austin stabbing with the comment: "Please do not move articles that are subject of an open AFD discussion. It makes the closure more complicated." The article has since been merged, instead of moved. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 23:52, 30 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
