Some clarifications are in order

[edit]
  • "Over 35 academic programs are available on the campus in Rochester, Minnesota in University Center Rochester." This statement is out of date. UMR moved out of the UCR campus to a downtown location. As I write this in June 2010, UMR is in the downtown building formerly known as the Galleria. The University is seeking additional space in downtown Rochester.
  • "Although it was not officially established until 2006, the Rochester campus has offered classes since 1966." Although the classes may have been at UMR or the downtown campus, technically, the programs were offered by other campuses. The Bachelor of Science Health Sciences program became the first program to be offered by UMR in the fall of 2009.

POV

[edit]

There are necessary edits that need to be made to the general overview. Including updates to the dated enrollment and staff/faculty counts from 2017. Finally, to compare the cost of living in Rochester MN to the other system campuses (ie: specifically Morris and Crookston in the table under on-campus housing) is misleading. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sjoqu032 (talkcontribs) 15:36, 8 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This page has some serious issues. Much of the later content involves facts that seem to be selected to emphasize points that are detrimental to UMR. These include the numbers and salary of administrative staff, the average debt of students, the cost of facilities on campus, etc. The data are cited correctly, but the organization and wording surrounding these seem to very clearly be making a non-neutral point of view (which is not WP policy). The only citation in the article of why this is relevant is a single op-ed complaining of administrative burden.

All edits in these sections have been made by a single user, and (as of 24 Nov 2015) they're the only edits that user has made on the site. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Researchnutter

Relevance

[edit]

The following items should be removed from the Wikipedia page because other university WP pages [1] [2]do not include: staff ratios, staff compensation, student enrollment and graduation rates, cost of attendance and student debt, and on-campus housing information including cost.

Wikipedia is not complete and countless articles lack all kinds of information. That has no bearing on whether properly sourced and cited information is relevant to this article. Jonathunder (talk) 15:05, 30 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
