Do we need to incorporate the portion stating UET as University of Error and Terror. First of all there is no citation for that. Its just a word of mouth with no verifiability. Second there are many more important facts that have not yet been included in the article. Giving preference to such point looks illogical. voldemortuet 19:17, 12 October 2006 (PST)

Proposed merge with Uet Ksk Campus

[edit]

Article as it current stands does not establish independent notability for this campus. After condensing a bit, there is no reason it cannot be merged into the main article on the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore. Randykitty (talk) 13:47, 21 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Merge the information about the campus is already well established at UET Lahore. Additionally, there is a possible COI with the creator of Uet Ksk Campus. PaintedCarpet (talk) 17:50, 21 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose merge With respect, i have created Uet Ksk campus so that the students who want to get admission here could have a little overview about this campus, No doubt it is a sub campus of Uet Lahore but it has become now a important university campus and needs to be on wikipedia. Moreover it has now about 1000 students and this is significant number of students in an engineering university, it has its own notability and significance so people want to know about it and i hope you understand the situation. One more point it was established in 2006 and now it's been 8 year of its existence, this is enough time and now there should be its wikipedia, both places where Uet lahore and Uet ksk campus are almost 36 kilometers away from each other and have different environment. One being fully established and one in the process of development. Uet ksk campus has its notability because it is in Kala shah kaku, surrounded by many important places mentioned in Kala shah Kaku wikipedia. In future the Uet ksk campus will be a heavy and main centre for Engineering and research. I just wrote wikipedia of Uet Ksk campus so that people/students may find this helpful and had a glance before getting admission here. Hope you understand this. Thank you. --usmanaslam (talk) 18:51, 21 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Campuses adding rules/oppose It cannot be added because many universities have 5-7 campuses overall but this doesn't means that we have to do same thing for every campuses here on WIKIPEDIA. You will also not find such thing on WIKIPEDIA elsewhere. Thanks.-RanaTalha (User talk:Rana Mohammad Talha Tariq) 17:24, 03 FEBRUARY 2014 (UTC)
  • Oppose merge KSK Campus in not the only campus of UET. Each campus is having there own programs, and runs like an independent university. Merging all the campuses in the UET page might not be a good idea. --Taha Tahir (talk) 10:51, 8 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment Of course different campuses run different programs, that's absolutely normal. Unless there are good independent sources on the different campuses, there is no reason for different articles. There's no reason that the article on the university couldn't mention things like "fields 1,2, and 3 are taught at the main campus, fields 4, 5, and 6 at campus B". (Not that complete lists of courses are desirable anyway, see WP:NOTADIRECTORY) --Randykitty (talk) 16:10, 10 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
