Hello,
The current lead is outdated and I would like to propose a suggested rewrite.
Original:
The University of Chicago Crime Lab is a research center at the University of Chicago dedicated to studying crime and developing and evaluating crime-reduction programs. One of the University of Chicago's multiple Urban Labs, the Crime Lab was founded in 2008, and its current director is Jens Ludwig. Much of its funding has come from the MacArthur Foundation.
New:
The University of Chicago Crime Lab is a nonpartisan behavioral and social science research lab based in Chicago, Illinois (source). Situated within the Harris School of Public Policy, the Crime Lab partners with community-based organizations and the public sector to generate evidence about the strategies that reduce gun violence and improve the criminal justice system (source 1, source 2)
