Kustaanheimo--Stiefel

[edit]

With the introduction of the s parameter, such that ds and dt are related by 1/r, it is obvious that this is the Kustaanheimo--Stiefel transformation. It should be appropriate to make a mention somewhere, in case somebody wishes to read up on this. Also, the 2D version has a nicely explanatory name: Square root coordinates. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 137.132.228.29 (talk) 02:52, 27 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Per your suggestion, I added 'Kustaanheimo-Stiefel transform' to the requested articles list. Praemonitus (talk) 19:13, 12 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

and α \alpha is defined by α = μ /a

But we have yet to be told what a is! Badly written, or probably, poorly extracted from the source. 2A01:CB0C:CD:D800:6D25:E588:EE7:8EE3 (talk) 17:41, 19 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
