Mission statement

[edit]

It seems silly that the old mission statement is labeled "former", yet the new one is not mentioned. I think I'll just put it in. What was the reason for its removal? Is it not approved finally? At any rate, it appears on the to-be-launched UWC website front page instead of the old one so I think its justified to put it in here too. Joonas Govenius 17:43, 28 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I changed it that way because I couldn't find the new statement on the UWC site since it had just been changed and then I forgot about the edit, heh, so thanks for fixing it. Omishark 03:15, 1 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Number of colleges

[edit]

I think it would be fair to say that the number of colleges is twelve by now since both the B&H and Costa Rica ones have received permission from the UWC International Board to use the name United World College. Joonas Govenius 17:43, 28 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

List of notable Alumni

[edit]

Do you think we should start making a list of notable alumni? Julie Payette would be a good example...

-- Great idea, here in Denmark there are at least two famous alumni. Clement Kjærsgaard and our Minister of Justice, Lene Espersen. 85.83.31.92 10:52, 11 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This list of notable alumni is now very big. A few people are mentioned twice and I also think there should me some sort of notability check here. Does a well-known architect in Johannesburg qualify among notable alumni? Then the list would be huge.--Teodor 08:21, 2 September 2011 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Teodor605 (talkcontribs)

Rework

[edit]

I think the article deserves quite some rework. I started and attempted to take out the ad character. Please help to improve. Also, the list of alumni is absurdly long, not sorted, of very different notability and also with hardly any references. What do you think? Should we take out the people for whom within 3 weeks no reference can be provided? Jaeljojo (talk) 23:32, 14 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

No one seems to care. I will take out the alumni that do not have references in a few days Jaeljojo (talk) 10:25, 21 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I very much agree. I attempted on a rework - comp. User:Frochtrup/work1. I added some references and a structure. I ommitted all with difficult notability and lacking references. What do you think? Frochtrup (talk) 15:39, 22 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
this makes total sense! Thanks for this. I would vote for just putting your version online and take it from there. Jaeljojo (talk) 21:59, 22 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

UWC Changshu China (UWCCSC) article

[edit]

I notice UWC Changshu is the only UWC school without a Wikipedia article (instead linking to their website), should one be created? I'd do it myself but I am very new to wikipedia and I can't really find many articles on it.

Just thought I'd float the idea!
