Why revert RFK?
[edit]@HistorianL @StefenTower Hi. You did not provide any reasoning for your revert of my edit. You only stated "reverted good faith edits". I would like to inquire on your reasoning. Alexysun (talk) 22:31, 29 June 2024 (UTC)
- I did not revert you so I have no idea why I am included. Stefen Towers among the rest! Gab • Gruntwerk 22:34, 29 June 2024 (UTC)
- I reverted it as the acronym for a person’s name (LBJ, JFK, RFK, etc…) isn’t supposed to be used. It’s common procedure to use the full name (first and last) the first time a person is mentioned and then use their last name every other time they are mentioned by name HistorianL (talk) 22:39, 29 June 2024 (UTC)
- As currently presented, only referring to him as "Kennedy" on subsequent references is potentially very confusing for anyone unfamiliar with the family, as there are three different Kennedys being discussed in this anecdote. If using an acronym is an issue, so be it; however, I agree with Alexysun that some further context is needed to differentiate them all. Lafavs (talk) 00:04, 11 July 2024 (UTC)
- @Lafavs Yup, glad you can see it too. Alexysun (talk) 21:40, 23 July 2024 (UTC)
- @HistorianL Hi. Can you please cite a precedent or Wikipedia policy that shows that acronyms for a person's name aren't supposed to be used? Alexysun (talk) 21:45, 23 July 2024 (UTC)
