United States and the Russian invasion of Ukraine → United States support for Ukraine in the Russian invasion of Ukraine – The US has unequivocally supported Ukraine against Russia. There is no doubt about this. Oppose. The foreign policies of a country may be dynamic and to different extent. Simply concluding the foreign policy as "Support" is an overgeneralization of the situation and should be avoided as the article title. Cfls (talk) 03:43, 18 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Unsure There are two political parties in the United States and some sources describe them as being on opposite sides for supporting either Ukraine or Russia. Right now this article could document a US political transition. If we changed the name, then a political transition would require a new wiki article if the US no longer supported Ukraine. I think that both parties have even accused each other of supporting or not supporting either Russia or Ukraine. Bluerasberry (talk) 16:28, 18 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Weak oppose, in the spirit of Bluerasberry's comment. There's nothing wrong with the current title, and although the proposed title would be slightly more specific, it would also unnecessarily constrain the scope of an article about a historical event that is still unfolding. We may as well stick with the perfectly fine existing title, until enough time has passed that a historical perspective makes it clearer what title is best. —Mx.
