Information about this command seems very hard to come by. The only evidence for its existence that I could find were from two USAF bios. However, seeing as they are official publications, I believe this is firm enough evidence that this command did actually exist. Paul05:35, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The US Taiwan Defense Command existed as a sub-unified command under the [1] United States Pacific Command. I was assigned there during 1973-1974, and it is indeed quite difficult finding any information about the organization. I have been writing a [2] blog as a sort of retro-diary of my experiences there, and am in the process of tracking down an official unit history for the place. I will add more information here as it becomes available to me.
