[edit]Question,
What does the BB abreviation mean aside from Battleship? What does the second B indicate?
Thank You. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.135.97.170 (talk • contribs) 17:21, 16 March 2006
- Take a look at Hull classification symbol. It used to be just B, however at some point ship classifications moved to a two letter system. I don't think it means anything. -- malo (tlk) (cntrbtns) 21:10, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
Property clarification
[edit]How is "... held in property by the United States Government.[3]" Different than "... owned by the U.S. Navy" ? The US Navy is a part of the US Government. There is no real difference other than trying to say different parts of the same government own the ships. 132.25.0.212 (talk) 23:00, 30 March 2020 (UTC)
