TARS aerostat border security to be shut down on March 15th 2013
[edit]The Tethered Aerostat Radar System (TARS) is due to be shut down on 15 March. This shutdown will open one more door to those wishing to bring narcotics into our country or otherwise violate our Southern Border by removing a vital sensor system that is used by the Coast Guard, CBP, and other agencies. Direct the US Air Force and/or the Department of Homeland Security to continue operating this system in Puerto Rico, Florida, Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico. If we truly are concerned with the War on Drugs and wish to have a cost effective sensor to fight that war, then this sensor must remain active. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.213.241.59 (talk) 10:36, 29 January 2013 (UTC)
Updates?
[edit]Are these edits CORRECTIONS or UPDATES? If corrections, then that's fine. But if it's updates, then please keep the old names and note the changes, for the sake of this historical record. —GoldRingChip 13:46, 19 December 2013 (UTC)
Using party names in column headings
[edit]a) "Democrat" is not an appropriate use of the party's name. If it's going to be included, the only acceptable use is "Democratic". b) As the Appropriations Committee is an official function of the Congress, I don't think party names should be included at all. Shading is more than adequate to identify parties to anyone looking. Nevermore27 14:19, 1 February 2014 (UTC)
External links modified
[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on United States House Committee on Appropriations. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}}

New logo for Chairman Cole
[edit]Hello, a member of the House Approps Committee staff asked me to help update the page with an image of the committee's logo with the name of the current Chair. This would replace the logo image that notes Kay Granger as the Chair. I have uploaded the logo image to Commons-- it can be found here:
Could someone with edit permissions for this page please swap out the logos? Stchoop (talk) 16:12, 28 August 2024 (UTC)
