Badly needs updating
[edit]Lajes has played an important role in US (and world) military history, and this Command (in its various iterations) was a key part of that history. Unfortunately, very little of that background appears in the Article, including the transfer of the Subordinate Unified Command from Joint Forces Command to European Command in the UCP change of 2002 and its subsequent change from being a subordinate Unified Command.
Perhaps someone with knowledge of that history (or access to the records) could flesh out and update this Article. D.A.Timm (talk) 14:52, 19 May 2019 (UTC)
