[edit]Joseph Hiller, why he left office.
G.P. Bray, why he left office, which would be in the middle of his term.
Collectors post 1875, the dates of confirmation and commission expiry are not exact due to lack of access to the Senate Executive Journal after this point. Only up to 1875 is available online.
Naval Officer, Salem
[edit]Charles Millett was in office on Oct. 7, 1853, but can find no confirmation of the date of his actual appointment.
John Ryan resigned, probably to become postmaster, but there is no confirmation of this. Also there is a big gap between his appointment as postmaster and the new naval officer.
Surveyor, Salem
[edit]B. Putnam resigned, but don't know when.
G. Hodges left office in 1817, don't know when or why.
The date of Hawthorne's appointment is his confirmation date, not his actual appointment date.
Also need the date W.C. Waters was actually appointed.
Surveyor, Beverly
[edit]J. Batchelor left office in 1809, when and why.
The start date for Samuel Porter 2nd term is also unknown.
Some of the post-1875 legislation is also hard to find, namely the act getting rid of Salem surveyor in 1875 and the act in 1913 getting rid of the collector. I am working off online sources only.
