This article should probably include something about Andre Cailloux, one of the leaders of the Colored Troops (and one of the first to die) in the Civil War. He died while leading the attempted Siege of Port Hudson, and was thereafter seen as a hero and recruitment tool for Black people into the Union effort. natemup (talk) 15:02, 26 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
