I just want to say, that the first paragraph is pretty much impossible to read from the standpoint of a naive civillian layman. I'm not sure that anyone who stumbles upon and tries to learn about this subject needs to be subjected to awful acronyms and numbers like "AFSC 1C4X1" in the very first sentence.
