Requested move
[edit]United States Approved Name → United States Adopted Name – This is the correct name; United States Approved Name is incorrect...probably confused with British Approved Name (BAN) Joshnpowell 20:37, 5 April 2006 (UTC) copied from the entry on the WP:RM page
Why is it used instead of INN?
[edit]The article doesn't mention why this is used while the rest of the world uses INN. I'm sure someone must know. 76.126.211.253 (talk) 08:01, 1 January 2009 (UTC)
- Agreed, it's something I've always wanted to know. In my opinion it's (a) cultural hegemony, the US always thinks the world should do things their way and refuses to submit to international standards, and (b) drugs cost four times or more the price in the US than in say Canada or the rest of the world, so drugs companies wish to obfuscate drugs purchasing by US consumers by making it seem that certain medications are only available in the USA.Gymnophoria (talk) 11:08, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
List of the approved names
[edit]While the names are not trademarked it appears difficult to get a listing of all the names that have been approved. It would be great if there was a link on the article to get such a list 73.30.100.198 (talk) 22:47, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
