[edit]Hello,
I'm interested in significantly editing the Wikipedia page for UNSCR 1325 to help it meet Wikipedia's standards and be a useful resource to people working on women, peace and security. I am a Master in Public Policy student at Harvard Kennedy School and used to work on women, peace and security issues at a non-profit in New York. Editing this page is my final project for a class on Media, Politics and Power in the Digital Age.
Here is a link to my sandbox to preview what I'm working on. I welcome any comments or suggestions before 17 December 2014.
The main changes I hope to make are:
1. History of 1325 and its proponents
2. Importance
3. Resolution's content
- Four Pillars
4. Implementation
- a. State parties and National Action Plans
- b. International and Regional Organizations
- c. Advocacy Groups
5. Criticisms
6. Related resolutions
Please let me know if you have any suggestions! Your advice and insights are much appreciated. If I do not hear anything in 2 weeks I will begin to edit.
