2016 United Kingdom European Union membership referendum → 2016 European Union membership referendum – WP:Unnecessary disambiguation; there was only one EU membership referendum held in one country in 2016. ‑‑Neveselbert (talk · contribs · email) 01:37, 27 September 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose - We should stick with WP:NCELECT. It's a referendum on the United Kingdom's membership of the European Union, it's important to the subject to include both polities in the name. Ralbegen (talk) 12:20, 27 September 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose per Ralbegen. If we were going to change it, a more logical title would be 2016 United Kingdom referendum because (a) it was a UK-only referendum, not an EU-wide one and (b) per WP:Unnecessary disambiguation, because the UK had only one referendum in 2016. [Just a thought experiment, not a serious counter-proposal.] --𝕁𝕄𝔽 (talk) 12:46, 27 September 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose. Unambiguous title. The proposed title suggests it was an EU-wide referendum. -- Necrothesp (talk) 12:33, 28 September 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose as per others. The proposed title implies it was an EU-wide referendum, so it is ambiguous. The terms of WP:NCELECT are envisaged to avoid this sort of issues. Impru20talk 12:42, 28 September 2022 (UTC)
Pro-EU leaflet
[edit]Pro-EU leaflet (the article about Why the Government Believes That Voting to Remain in the European Union is the Best Decision for the UK) was submitted as a Good Article candidate. I volunteered to assess it. On Talk:Pro-EU leaflet/GA1 you can see how far I've got. I'd expected that the nominator (A Thousand Doors) would respond, but so far there's been no response (since 31 January). The article reads well; what I think it needs most acutely is a group of experienced, scrupulous editors to check, and where appropriate to correct, the ways in which each of its numerous sources is used. If you're interested, please say so here, pinging me, within the next couple of days. -- Hoary (talk) 05:38, 3 February 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you for your review, Hoary. I haven't forgotten about it, I'm just busy with RL stuff right now. I'll try to respond to all of your comments within the next couple of days. Thanks again. A Thousand Doors (talk | contribs) 09:16, 3 February 2023 (UTC)
