Merge with LoDo

[edit]

I greatly appreciate the effort to make good articles for every neighborhood in Denver, but I think we may be bordering on superfluousness by having separate articles for LoDo and for Union Station. Virtually nobody knows the neighborhood of Union Station by that name but rather LoDo or possibly Commons Park for the area west of the train tracks. I think the LoDo article makes a pretty good distinction between what is statistical and imaginary in the view of Denverites between those two areas and think that article could cover virtually everything that this one does. Am I the only one who thinks that? Vertigo700 (talk) 04:07, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please Don't Merge

[edit]

Please don't merge those two articles; each is important and the distinction is needed, I believe. One of the reasons it (the new Union Station Neighborhood article) was created was to provide genuine neighborhood links for the new page National Register of Historic Places listings in Downtown Denver, Colorado, that links to statistical neighborhoods. There was no link for the Union Station neighborhood. The National Register page for Denver used to be a single page but was divided up based largely on Denver's statistical neighborhoods. The distinction between neighborhoods and historic districts is an important one and ought not to be diluted. Rino (formerly Commons Park) ought to be mentioned also--good point.
