A uniform algebra should have the sup norm. Does this follow from the fact that it is closed? If so, then possibly some redundancy should be removed from the article. --Tilin 09:49, 21 October 2006 (UTC)
It's true it wasn't clear. We need that it is closed wrt to the sup-norm and that we consider it a Banach algebra with that norm i guess. Will try to write better versionA Geek Tragedy 14:59, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
Well that isn't perfect (after my changes) but it NEEDS to still say it is closed (or complete) in the uniform norm because uniform algebras have to be Banach algebras (at least in any definition I'vbe seen) A Geek Tragedy 15:08, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
