C. Monique Berry
[edit]I see no reason to mention her among the main cast of the movie due to several issues: Her cast role is a background character. She had other roles in the movie's production, but those roles are minor and Wikipedia does not list minor cast / production team members. Also, I can find no websites or articles that establish her notability as a politician or activist. Per WP:POLITICIAN, she does not seem notable. As far as I can see, she's just a random politician, no more, no less. I insist that if effort is made to re-add mention of her, I urge that editor to present any relevant coverage here first. C. Monique Berry doesn't even have an article. Take her out of the lead paragraph, keep the mention down to a short sentence, and put it near the end of the article, if you first write a supportable wikipedia article about her showing her notability is deserving of a mention for minor roles in this film. --IP69.226.103.13 (talk) 19:18, 28 December 2009 (UTC)
- Obviously her cast role is irrelevant, and her other tasks in the movie's production are minor, so the only remaining reason for adding her is her being a current American politician. However, in that regard she is as unexceptional as any other small-time politician that hasn't been in the spotlight, so focus should be on presenting any material that establishes her notability in that role. I referred to the "cast and crew" section in our style guide for films (Wikipedia:WikiProject Films/Style guidelines#Cast). I agree that her cast role is too minor to mention. From IMDB we can see that she had roles as first assistant director, and location manager (public relations). From the style guide: The key is to provide plenty of added value "behind the scenes" background production information, without simply re-iterating IMDB., so if one can find sources that discuss Berry's role in the production, that can be used to improve the article - of course WP:NPOV means we can't simply single her out amongst the production crew. Her role as politician and environmentalist is irrelevant - if Advanced research's interest is in Berry's biography perhaps s/he can get enough sources together to support a seperate article.
