Failed "good article" nomination
[edit]This article has failed its Good article nomination. This is how the article, as of October 8, 2019, compares against the six good article criteria:
- 1. Well written?: Too wordy in places - nearly 900 words for a plot seems excessive, and the sections being edit warred over need to be examined and trimmed or removed, but this needs to be done on the talk page, not by edit warring through it
- 2. Verifiable?: Not considered, given the other issues
- 3. Broad in coverage?: As above, too thorough: just because information is there, it doesn't mean is has to be in an encyclopaedia
- 4. Neutral point of view?: Not considered, given the other issues
- 5. Stable?: No. Edit warring means a quick fail
- 6. Images?: Too many non-free images. We don't need video and a still image
When these issues are addressed, the article can be renominated. If you feel that this review is in error, feel free to have it reassessed. Thank you for your work so far.— SchroCat (talk) 20:37, 8 October 2019 (UTC)
@SchroCat: Comment: I understand most of your points except point 6: images. There is nothing in the GA rationale that states anything about having "too many non-free images". Here is what it says: " if possible, by media such as images, video, or audio: media are tagged with their copyright statuses, and valid fair use rationales are provided for non-free content; andmedia are relevant to the topic, and have suitable captions." This may be an example of imposing your own criteria [1] Spy-cicle (talk) 16:30, 9 October 2019 (UTC)
