Citation and Expansion

[edit]

This article is underdeveloped and is missing important citations for its information. Much of the information in the article is unsourced and needs to be given proper citations or deleted. Some important information is missing from the article including the origins of Umibōzu in Japanese folklore, and mentions in any myths or folk tales. There is a lot of work needed to be done to this article in order to meed Wikipiedia's guidelines and standards of a well developed and properly sourced article.--Paleface Jack (talk) 16:15, 4 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Rewriting and Adding Sources

[edit]

This article on the Umibōzu is poorly developed, and missing a significant amount of citations for the information that it details. The best thing to do with this article is to essentially rewrite it completely in sections such as Etymology, Beliefs, Description, Purported sightings, and appearances in popular culture. Each piece of information should be redone and realigned into one of these sections, with new information from properly (and reliably) sourced information given. It's a REALLY interesting article, it just needs to be properly redeveloped so that it meets Wikipiedia's guidelines and standards. Hopefully, someone comes along and gives it the attention it needs.--Paleface Jack (talk) 20:35, 20 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
